Ohio Trophy Leases, LLC is co-owned by Mike Riggle and Shawn McPherson. We are lifetime hunters with a combined 60 years of whitetail hunting experience. Our passion for the past decade has been in the pursuit and harvest of trophy Ohio whitetails. Our obsession for the proper management of mature whitetails, lead us to our own personal leases. 

When Mike and Shawn began hunting whitetails in Ohio ten years ago, we found tremendous opportunities in obtaining the sort of land we knew held the caliber of whitetails we had hoped to encounter. Large farms, along with many privately held tracts of land, were available at our disposal. But, recently we found, as Ohio became more publicized through print and television, our hunting grounds began to shrink. More and more hunters began to obtain permission on some of the same farms. The Outfitting community also began to take notice of the same core area that we have hunted all along.
So, out of necessity, we signed our first personal hunting leases. Without having the means to purchase hundreds of acres of land ourselves, we found that leasing gave us most of the same benefits as land ownership. The satisfaction of managing our whitetail herds to our expectations, planting food plots, pre-post season scouting, hanging tree stands the way we feel comfortable, monitoring deer movement with our own trail cameras, and creating a lasting bond with the property owners is exactly what we love most about our sport.
